2015-2018
Andrea worked on her biology undergraduate thesis (Licenciatura) on "Riverine forests Characterization in five rivers in Northern Guatemala" at the University of San Carlos of Guatemala. She was awarded the prestigious Mario Dary Rivera award for the best undergraduate thesis in 2018, from both the Facultad de Ciencias Químicas y Farmacia and the Escuela de Biología.

2021-present
Daniel is developing his thesis as a Forest Engineer, looking at the riparian forest composition and its effect on local river water quality

Technicians



Francisco has worked with Diego Itermitely at different institutions and in various research projects. He is a parabiologist with experience in data collection across a wide variety of taxa, including raptors, psitacids, pecaries, jaguars, fish, crocodiles, and river otters. Recently, Francisco has been focusing on helping develop sustainable extraction of renewable resources from the Mayan biosphere at the Arbol Verde forest concession.

Marlon is a field technician with experience in sampling, identifying, and processing fish samples for museum specimens and ecological research. Recently, he has been working at the Arvol Verde forest concession sawmill.
